Creating music for women, by women
— Alyssa Wendzel

Alyssa Wendzel, a.k.a. WENDZELLE, is a pop, R&B, and dance songwriter hailing from a small beach town called San Clemente, CA. She works betweenSouthern CA and the San Francisco Bay Area. Her passion is writing music that empowers both the artist and the audience.

Alyssa began her music career back in 2012 during her time at the University of California at Berkeley, in an indie-rock duo called Ordinary Thieves. Together, the band created an EP entitled "Abandon," (released in 2014) and an LP called "Furthest Point From Here," (released in October 2015). After 4 years of band life, Alyssa embarked on a new adventure in her music career - songwriting and producing music for television and recording artists.

Alyssa’s main focus is songwriting for female recording artists. She creates songs emphasizing female empowerment, while still expounding on the complexity and diversity of human emotion. Art is the perfect vehicle for turning challenge into purpose, weakness into strength. Alyssa’s songs often tackle difficult issues, while still bringing the singer and listener to a place of healing and encouragement.

With writing marrying catchiness with cohesive, clever lyrics, Alyssa is currently an in-house songwriter at Focal Productions, Inc., a production house in the Bay Area. Additionally, she is now releasing her own music under the pseudonym “WENDZELLE”.

Her most recent releases can be heard in the MUSIC section of this website.
