Short Bio for a short gal
Alyssa Wendzel is a pop / R&B / EDM songwriter, producer, vocalist, and multi-instrumentalist who focuses on celebrating “fem-powerment” and the diversity of human emotion. She wrote “Empty Spaces”, a track co-produced with Grammy-nominated producer Brandon “Blue” Hamilton (Justin Bieber, Ne-Yo, Usher, Ciara), and independently released by Mariah Belgrod. As of this writing, “Empty Spaces” has over 95,000 streams. Beginning her music career as the singer-songwriter in an indie rock band, Alyssa has spent the past 8 years since honing her songwriting into catchy, clever pop music. Alyssa sings, writes, and produces / co-produces all of her demos.
An in-house songwriter and producer at Sony Europe-affiliated Focal Productions, Inc., Alyssa has ghost-written and co-produced for pop, rock, folk, and international artists. She has collaborated with the teams from Studio D in Sausalito, CA, and Send It Records in Seattle, WA. In 2020, during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, Alyssa self-released her first song under the pseudonym WENDZELLE, a name that not only celebrates her family history, but her commitment to writing music directed towards a female audience. The track, “Excuses”, is a collaboration with Seattle-based House producer and DJ Lowsh. While she describes releasing her own music as “weird,” Alyssa has embraced the challenge of expressing her own thoughts in her own voice, letting people see her “off-the-wall” and edgy personality.
